Eagle Field Army Air Field – b.1942
Welcome to the online home of Eagle Field. Built in 1942 as an Army Air Corps primary flight training center, Eagle Field is one of the last remaining WWII airfields in America.
As many of our heroes are slowly becoming but a page in our history books, it is of great importance that we preserve their legacy for future generations. This is a legacy of honor, courage, and of a country of Americans that put their differences aside, and joined as one to overcome the twentieth century’s greatest crisis.
Help us honor these war heroes of all generations by keeping their memories alive. Eagle Field hosts living history events that allow you to walk in your heros’ footsteps, by seeing the things that they saw, hearing the things that they heard, and touching the things that they touched.
Be it walking through the hangar where many fighter and bomber pilots saw an airplane for the first time, hearing a big band echo in the warm calm air of a summer’s evening, or hearing the rumble of a 1955 Chevy, you will feel history come alive at Eagle Field.
